Description
Delicious homemade chicken egg rolls filled with shredded chicken and green onions, perfect for dipping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked, shredded boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 3–4 breasts)
- 10 egg roll wrappers
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh green onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- Cooking oil for frying (enough to fill the pan about 2 inches)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, garlic powder, soy sauce, and chopped green onions.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture diagonally across one corner.
- Fold the sides inward and roll tightly to seal the egg roll. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the egg rolls in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a healthier version, bake the egg rolls instead of frying.
- Customize the filling with other vegetables or proteins as desired.
