Description

  • 68 slices deli ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or a blend)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the pre-made puff pastry according to package instructions. On a lightly floured surface, gently roll it out into a rectangle approximately 12 by 9 inches.
  2. Evenly spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the entire surface of the rolled-out puff pastry to add a slight tangy base.
  3. Arrange the sliced deli ham in an even layer over the mustard. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top to ensure every bite is cheesy and savory.
  4. Starting at one long edge, carefully roll the pastry into a tight log. Pinch the seam to seal the edges and prevent filling leakage during baking.
  5. With a sharp knife, slice the rolled log into approximately 1-inch thick discs to create the pinwheel spirals.
  6. Place the pinwheels on a parchment-lined baking tray. Brush each with the beaten egg wash for a shiny golden finish.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
