- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cups jasmine rice
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients by chopping garlic and green onions; measure out soy sauce and brown sugar.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
- Once the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), pour the glaze over it and simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Cook jasmine rice as per package instructions while the chicken simmers.
- Fluff the rice and serve in bowls topped with the glazed chicken and chopped green onions.
