Description
Delicious garlic Parmesan pizza rolls perfect for a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 12×9 inches.
- Spoon the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously across the top, followed by a handful of grated Parmesan.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Brush a light layer of this garlicky butter over the cheese. Reserve some for later.
- Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, just like you would with cinnamon rolls. Pinch the seam to seal. Using a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss, slice the log into 1-inch rolls.
- Place the rolls cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with extra Parmesan.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley for a pop of color and a fresh finish.
- Serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Feel free to add other toppings of your choice.
- These rolls are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
