Description

Delicious garlic Parmesan pizza rolls perfect for a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 12×9 inches.
  3. Spoon the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously across the top, followed by a handful of grated Parmesan.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Brush a light layer of this garlicky butter over the cheese. Reserve some for later.
  5. Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, just like you would with cinnamon rolls. Pinch the seam to seal. Using a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss, slice the log into 1-inch rolls.
  6. Place the rolls cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with extra Parmesan.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley for a pop of color and a fresh finish.
  9. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes
