Description

Deliciously seared chicken breasts coated with a sweet and spicy honey glaze, topped with feta cheese and fresh thyme.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts (Choose evenly sized pieces for uniform cooking.)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Essential for searing.)
  • 1/4 cup Hot Honey (Store-bought or homemade.)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (Fresh garlic can be used but may change cooking times.)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (Regular paprika is a substitute.)
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese (Can be replaced with goat cheese.)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Thyme (Dried thyme can be used in a pinch.)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub them generously with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add a splash of olive oil and let it heat until shimmering.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Lower the heat and drizzle the hot honey over the chicken. Baste the chicken for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle feta cheese and fresh thyme over the chicken. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the chicken is of even size for uniform cooking.
  • Hot honey can be adjusted to taste based on preference for spiciness.
  • For an extra kick, add cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
