Description
This garlic butter salmon recipe is quick, easy, and delicious. Perfect for a weeknight dinner!
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 ounces salmon (4 filets)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 small lemon (sliced)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to low broil, and position the oven rack to the center of the oven.
- Prepare the salmon by removing any bones or skin, then cut the salmon fillet into 4 ounce individual portions. Pat dry with a paper towel, season with salt and pepper, and place on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Use a basting brush to brush all sides of the salmon.
- Broil the salmon filets for 6 minutes, then check the doneness of salmon—it should flake easily with a fork. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes if necessary, then remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- To serve, drizzle the drippings over the filets and garnish with fresh lemon slices and minced parsley. Enjoy!
Notes
- This dish pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables or rice.
- Make sure to monitor the salmon closely while broiling to prevent overcooking.
