Description

A delicious and easy ground beef and rice casserole that the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup long grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 10 oz can condensed French onion soup
  • 10 oz can condensed beef consommé
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, sliced into pats
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain off excess grease.
  3. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, combine the uncooked rice, French onion soup, beef consommé, cooked ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper.
  4. Stir to mix evenly. Lay the butter slices evenly over the top of the mixture.
  5. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for another 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  7. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Fluff and stir gently before serving. Enjoy!
