Description
A delicious and easy ground beef and rice casserole that the whole family will enjoy.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup long grain white rice (uncooked)
- 10 oz can condensed French onion soup
- 10 oz can condensed beef consommé
- ½ cup unsalted butter, sliced into pats
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain off excess grease.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, combine the uncooked rice, French onion soup, beef consommé, cooked ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Stir to mix evenly. Lay the butter slices evenly over the top of the mixture.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for another 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Fluff and stir gently before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- This recipe can easily be doubled for a larger crowd.
- Feel free to add in your favorite vegetables for extra nutrition.
